Susan M. Love, M.D.

Susan M. Love M.D., MBA, Co-founder of LLuminari, is an Adjunct Professor of Surgery at UCLA and the Medical Director of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the eradication of breast cancer. She is one of the founders and a director of the National Breast Cancer Coalition, and was appointed by President Clinton to the National Cancer Advisory Board. Her research on an intraductal approach to breast cancer led her to found ProDuct Health, a medical device company which was later acquired by Cytyc Corp, where she serves as consultant. She also serves on advisory boards for Pepsico, Pacificare and Dover Ventures.

She is the author of Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book and Dr. Susan Love's Hormone Book. Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book has been termed a "bible for women with breast cancer" by The New York Times. A newly revised edition was published in September 2000. Released in 1997, Dr. Susan Love's Hormone Book spent seven weeks on the best seller list and provides an equally authoritative range of information about menopause.

Dr. Love received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York, did her surgical training at Boston's Beth Isreal Hospital, and received an MBA from the Anderson School of UCLA. She lives in Pacific Palisades, California.
