Darshak Sanghavi, M.D.
Dr. Darshak Sanghavi is a pediatric cardiologist and an assistant professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He is an innovative thinker, respected medical communicator, and expert clinician in pediatrics and cardiology. Dr. Sanghavi completed his clinical fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Children’s Hospital in Boston after working for several years as a pediatrician for the U.S. Indian Health Service in Navajo country.
Dr. Sanghavi has published numerous scientific papers on topics ranging from the molecular biology of cell death to tuberculosis transmission patterns in Peruvian slums and speaks on a variety of topics related to pediatrics and the growth and development of children. He is a frequent guest on radio and television, contributes to several news publications, and is widely quoted in the media. Dr. Sanghavi serves on the advisory board of Parents magazine and was a visiting media fellow of the Kaiser Family Foundation. His research and teaching interests focus on improved healthcare through better information delivery to patients and health providers.
