Renowned breast cancer surgeon Dr. Susan Love will be appearing on the Today Show on Oct 1 to launch a new national program the Love/Avon Army of Women.  This program is a "just in time" tissue and data bank to accelerate research into the cause and prevention of breast cancer.  The Love/Avon Army of Women will recruit a million women who are willing to participate in research and then send them opportunities to get involved in particular projects by giving blood, saliva, urine, tissue and/or information.  There will be two segments on the Today Show including one outside in Rockefeller Plaza with a crowd of women wearing pink t shirts and Army pendants.  If you know anyone who would be willing to do this please pass it along.  In addition send it to any groups you know.

LOGISTICS

·       The TODAY Show Plaza is located at 50th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues

·       Please arrive at 6:30am to receive your t-shirt and Army of Women pendant. Our segments are over by 9:30am, but you are welcome to leave at whatever time you need to.

·       Please check the weather and dress appropriately. We recommend long sleeves to wear under your unique Army of Women shirt so the logo can still be seen by the TODAY Show viewers.

·       Limited supply of coffee/donuts will be available, but please bring refreshments for yourself if you wish.
